New member with new toy

After reading this great forum since the day after I placed my order, I have finally decided to post. This will probably be a long one.
Just to set something of a UK trend I also collected my 530d today. It actually arrived nearly two weeks ago (a week early) but due to business travel commitments I was unable to collect the car until today. I have been sharing Dr D's pain, except I felt mine was worse as the car had arrived and I could do nothing about it.
What can I say about my new pride and joy after 60 odd miles and a few hours play.
The car is a joy to drive, and a real blast around the county lanes where we live on the Gower Peninsular. It really can be thrown around for such a big car.
Bluetooth is great and worked first time with my Sony Ericsson T610. It did take a little while to load up my 130 odd phone numbers the first time. The cradle for it is really neat.
The Nav is cool, but the lady seems to get a bit annoyed if you take your own route and not hers.
Seat memory didn't seem to work at first but after following a tip on the forum and programming both keys it seems to work OK. I do need to play with it a bit more.
I asked the dealer to delete the smoker package but they forgot. The result is a cubby hole in the rear console, which is OK. They will sort the front ashtray next week.
No torch, and even my wife at her most charming could not get us a free one. We were told it was BMW UK's new policy.
I think the cubby holes in the boot must be on cars without folding rears as I don't have them.
My wife loves the split side air-con, so do I as there are no more arguments over temperature.
My mirrors don't fold automatically when the car is turn off, so I need to look into that.
I have to agree, the best BMW I've owned.
Attached is the first of a few pictures. If anyone wants any particular shots please shout.
Cheers,
Malc.

Malc: Welcome and congratulations! Folding rear seats and the boot cubby holes came together on my US 545i. I'm curious, first, does voice control work, and also, right below the iDrive knob, where the menu button is, is there a button next to it, meant to activate voice control?
Thanks,
Sam (3 weeks today!)

Welcome and congrats. I hope they fix BT here in the US soon. I have three Sony Ericsson T616 phones and they should work fine with the system once BT is functional. Nav w/ voice is awesome yet incompatible with BT. BMW hurry up with the fix!!!
