Just purchased an older (2005) 545i about a month ago. Currently in Seattle - but moving to Hartford in a few days.
Previous owner put an M5 kit on it (more on this in another post). So far I've recoded the M-ASK/TCU to enable Bluetooth and an Aux cable which I just installed. I also fixed a little sunroof rattle... hopefully I can enjoy a good few years with this car - generally seems to be in great shape and is one of the most enjoyable rides I've ever owned.
I'm also glad to see the car has a good community that seems to have a lot of info about DIY job (e.g. coding and aux install above).
