Just wanted to say hi, I joined e60.net to get help with my bluetooth phone and Idrive and also to possibly find a good deal on sport package wheels. I did get get the info I wanted and the replies and atmosphere was great so here I am.

Got her 3 weeks ago from Motorwerks of Barrington. Got a fabolous deal car had around 500 miles but was never titled. Ignore the dirty garage there used to be two evil big SUV's in there. She's a 2005 all options except Navigation and sport package.

I also run a few websites. One is car realted but not BMW nor Commercial. www.exotixboard.com Im not trying to take any members away from e60.net or any other forums. Since this isnt even on the topic of BMW's but exotic cars please feel free to check it out the site is constantly growing with new members and content grows daily.

Regards, Ferrarislave

Yes, Sat Prep is just having the wires in place from the shark fin antenna etc. You will need to go to the dealer and BUY the Sirius receiver and have it installed at the dealer so that they can setup iDrive to work w/ it.

ballpark, $500 installed, including labor. I'll have to dig up my invoice but I want to say it is $375 for the receiver, 1-1.5 hrs of labor for the install and another $20 or so for mounting brackets, etc. That also includes the first year free, at least it did when I activated mine back in January 2005. Ask for it when you're talking to the Sirius folks. Tell them you got a new BMW and were told the first year was free, when they ask which plan you want to sign up for...
