New guy to the site old hat to the BMW life
New guy here. So this is my 5th BMW. 3rd 5 series, 3rd 2005, 3rd time taking the punishment lol. I have spent many years reading, learning and using the great advice and horror story lessons from the members, decided it was time to join the ranks. I have been turning wrenches for about 20years. I clearly love fixing the E60 and Have an even deeper love for spending money on sh** that probably don’t need to break but it did because... why not it’s an E60 right. Feel free to bust my bald all you want for continuing to make the same mistake over and over... all that being said I love the E60 and every dollar spent every lesson learned and every moment spent driving the cars was worth it. Just don’t bust my chops for doing something unpopular or far fetched. That’s the point for me. To go we’re few have gone before and do what few have done before. Thanks in advance for giving me sh** for my poor life choices lol

Welcome! I understand the love for the E60. I have an 05 and love. Modules go bad, one hiccup with the trans and that it. Everything else was basic maintenance. I love mine and it's never left me stranded. The 530 I have has not been expensive to keep up either. Actually over the last 5 years it's been the least expensive thing in my driveway. Mostly because I don't drive it as mush as I use to and I keep up with preventative maintenance.
Look around and ask questions. I love working on them so I'm sure I'll chime in.
