HI everyone! I'm new to this forum so have been checking it out quite a bit lately. I live in Greenville, SC and work at the BWM factory. We are putting out the X5, X6 and the new X3. I actually have an 08 535i and a 2011 X5 3.5d for a company car. I've had BMW's for the past 20 years or so. 528e, 635csi, M6, 528i, M3 and now the 535i. Not any mods to my car except the Injen air intake system and I hard wired my radar detector above the mirror and install a power swithch for this. Works well, just can't locate a good power source that is not always on. I forgot and left the switch on a few times only to find a power warning in the morning. I'm afraid I will forget to shut it off when I am out of the country on business and return to a dead car! Anyone outthere happen to run across where I can tap for power let me know. I did review a few threads on thsi site so will go back anf have another look...

Hey Tony,

under the passenger footwell should be a cigarette lighter. Tap the power there and you should be fine
