Hello all of you proud BMW owners!! I'm both new at this forum aswell as I 'm new as a BMW driver. Me and my wife has bought a 1 year old 520d touring. Hope I'll be happy with the ride 
Anyway, had a question for you. What's the weight of this car?
It has manual gearshift. Have not paid the taxes yet (buying the car from another country) and need to know the weight to get the cost correct.

I think you can take the numbers from a -07 520D. It have not changed anything since then and it starts at 1675 for a manual.
How much will the tax be when you import it to Norway? If I remeber correct you have a tax that are not real.

Yepp taxes are high in Norway. I guess you understand Norwegian since you are a Swede!

The car will cost me about 570000,- norwegian kroner, or 70800 euro. Taxes are about 37500 euro. 
1675 kilo, it's so heavy? I read a test of a 520d automatic and the weight was 1610 they said. Is it heavier with manual transmission?

It's amazing... I don't think any bad about you Norwegians, but when I see the taxes you have I will never complain about ours.
The automatic is another 20kg according to the 2007 lists and the 520d is the lightest of them all. Maybe it was the E60 you got the weight from?

I tried the calculator and I will not start any plans to move to Norway, that's for shure! 69 000Eur would the tax only! be if my car was imported to Norway. So a importtax of more than 100%... I'm out of words...
