I've ordered my first ever BMW! It's a 2008 550i in carbon black with black interior and bamboo trim. I'm told that the car was built on May 11th; and that it's "on target to get shipped by end of May" - soo I'm assuming that means delivery sometime in June.

I was torn between the new 535 with the twin turbo engine and the 550. In the end, I went with the 550 because I simply couldn't wait until October for a 535 in manual transmission. Also, I was going to order the car with the M-Sport Pkg, so it made the decision even easier when i learned that it's a standard feature on the 08 550. I've read through the many threads on the 535 vs. 550 discussions; I'm sure both cars are great.

Is anyone else in the Toronto area expecting June delivery? If so, what was your built date? I can't wait!

Any suggestions on tinting the windows? Should I get the dealer to the tint job? What would look good?
