Once proud E39 owner, now a proud E60 owner
Hi 5 series community,
Let me start off by saying that BMW makes the best cars in the world. Back in 2004, I acquired my second car, an 03' E39 530i, loaded (my first was a Lexus) and it changed my outlook on cars forever. I had her tinted at 30%, rear view back up camera, dvd/tv module, xenon angel eyes, HID kits low and high.
Unfortunately, I was forced to consolidate and give her up due to employment issues. I watched with painstaking envy at others who owned BMW's and drooled every time a new model/refresh rolled out. I trolled these forums, saying to myself, "That's a great DIY, that's a great idea. Wish I could chime in. I have a question, even though I don't own a BMW." I promised myself that one day, I could get to a point where I could feel the engagement, direct steering, refinement, luxury, and sport vs. comfort balance, of a BMW again.
Well it's 2012 and I'm in a better place in my life. After months of research, on 11/29/12, I pulled the trigger and got a 2010 E60 535xi. White on black with Nav, Sport, Premium, and Cold Weather packages.
I've already done interior/reverse LED lights, 20% tint, 6000K HID Fogs, RDash license plate lights. Coming this week is the MTech V3 AE set. Future wish list mods are MTech Body kit, Video in Motion, LED welcome lights on door handles (refer to juji post), reverse back up camera, and changing tires to Bridgestone/Continentals as my only complaint is the RFT are a bit harsh and road noise is prevalent. I would like a softer side wall to absorb the imperfect roads of NY.
Anyway, horrible but here are pics of the past and current.
I'm delighted to be a part of this community, I will continue to post pics of new mods, and looking forward to discussing all and everything BMW.
Thanks

Thanks guys glad to be back, just put the Mtech AE, much better without the yellow rings. I want to install Mtech body kit next and Combox/6NR for CIC.
