i really like your car by the way! nice 550i
Thanks. It is not one of the more modded cars on the forum so the great goes to BMW (I did not special order my car -- it was sitting on the dealer's lot after a buyer who had custom ordered it backed out.

Only real appeance mod other than lights is an ACS Style rear spoiler (as it came with the M Tech kit). I don't see myself doing any big time appearance mods. I do want an ECU reflash and a black RPI scoop.

All good ideas. I have basically all of John's lighting mods and I love the way they improved the appearance of my car for not that much $$$. I've got: (1) 6000K HID fogs; (2) 6000K HID headlights (the 4300K HID headlights from the factory have a yellowish hue that does not match the whitish/bluish hue of the 6000K HID fogs); (3) 8500K GP Thunder AE bulbs; (4) stealth turn signal bulbs; (5) LED reverse lights; (6) RD LED license plate lamps; and (7) full LED interior lights.

One inexpensive mod that is proven to increase power is the RPI ram air scoop with the drop in filter.

Lots of members (myself included) also get the Sprintbooster (or the adjustable but more expensive Velocity unit) to increase throttle response.

You could definitely use fly wheels. The most popular OEM ones are all 19 inches and are: (1) Style 172 (standard on the current 550i Sport); (2) Style 166 (standard on the current M5); and (3) Style 167 (standard on the M6).

There are a million fly aftermarket wheels and a million threads that discuss them. For cast wheels, my favs are the Miro 935, Breyton Race GTS and VMR V710. I am not as knowledgeable about forged wheels (out of my price range) but I love the Radengergie R10s and RS10s and some of the DPE wheels, among others.

i actually already have the rims in my basement

i have these

my client gave them to me as a gift of appriecation for a project i did for his company so it was a very inexpensive mod for me and i was very lucky to get them

Wow, that's some gift. They are a big improvement in appearance over your current wheels.

to the forum. Contrary to popular belief, you don't get more power by adding fire to the underside.
