Hi new to the board had a question about sat radio

Hi new to the board here and had a few questions the car is my wifes but i was wanting to put aux input in for our ipod and get sat radio for it too. I have the window sticker and the original owner didnt order it ready for it we were just wondering if it is practical and posible and how much thanks.

I think it would be very costly to add the SAT wiring after-the-fact. But you should check with the dealer just in case. Another way of going would be to add the aux input and buy an aftermarket portable SAT unit. Not as clean as factory installed and won't display on the idrive but will play through your factory system.

the dealers can retrofit sat radio, but you end up with a hockey puck stuck on your trunk lid. Factory installed sat radio uses the shark fin antenna.
