Hey All,
I am going to be the proud owner of a 2005 545i tomorrow and wanted to introduce myself. Thanks in advance for having me!
The car is currently getting a couple rock chips touched up, updating the nav system, and getting detailed. Low miles (36K) and seems to be in great shape. It's silver with gray interior, comfort 20 way seats, nav, satellite radio, rear shades, L7 audio. Basically, everything but sport and cold weather packages from what I can tell.
I posted something similar at bimmerfest but this forum looks even more relevant for e60 owners. Only updates/mods I'd be looking to make in the near future would be: new tires and wheels (open to suggestions, prefer unstaggered OEMs that I can rotate), iPod kit (car already has CD changer so does that make it an easier install?), a new iDrive shifter knob (current is a little scratched up), and an extended warranty
Anyway, just wanted to say hello. If you have any ideas on where to get a good deal on the stuff mentioned above, please let me know! If you're local (I'm in Dallas), would be good to know what locals frequent this forum, too.
