Hi & first of all thanks, a I found a great thread to re-set my 'annual inspection' service indicator on here a little while back and Tuesday, my car (Brucie) told me he was 3 so needed an MOT inspection. Something satisfying about not having to go crawling to the dealer for something so trivial.
Got the car way back in March this year, very high spec, from Stratstone Chesterfield, trading our X3 3.0SE as a staight swap. PM me if you want to know my views on this dealer.
I was contemplating an Impreza WRX Spec D, but the wife resisted 'scoops and spoilers' and suggested a used 5er. We'd have an E39 525d as a service car once and I was very impressed with that, so had a look around at what was on offer and I was very pleased to see E60's in our ballpark. We found this car (spec sold it to me) on the BMW UK website and arranged a test drive with the dealer.
It literally took 5 miles to fall in love with the composed, surefooted ride and the superb combination of straight 6 diesel/6 speed auto gearbox. The comfort was excellent, refinement just 1st class and performance 'adequate'. The only fly in the ointment was Auburn extended leather interior (no offence to those Auburn lovers), but in a Steel Grey car, with Anthracite/Light grey trim and Black Wood, it just didn't work for me. We eventually agreed to a new Black (boring) leather interior in the deal.
I collected the car and drove it straight to the local Superchips agent for an electronic pep up.
Anyway, enough waffle, the car's ace and here's some pics. I hope you approve.
I'm interested in upgrading from Business navigation if anyone can help?

Thanks for the welcome guys.
The car now has a personalised plate on it, so the old HK ending one has gone.
The car did come pretty well loaded, that wheel was fitted from new.
