Congrats on the car and enjoy the forum! BTW, perhaps your dealer can fix the steering wheel (Its obviously on the wrong side of the car....next you'll say you drive on the left side of the road too!)

+1 and welcome to the forum, you might have to reset the active steering at the dealer. As I am guessing you purchased a USED Japanese export, before going through customs the battery is disconnected, but it may not be the case too....just have BMW techs to check it out, either ways to reset the AS you need to go to the dealer...

Welcome to the forums! Good luck with your BMW. Regarding the AS error, try starting the car, turn left to lock, turn right to lock, and repeat. Shut down and start her up. Sometimes that does the trick to reset AS. Keep us posted!
