Hey boyz and girlz. New member here.
Good afternoon! Just signed on here. Thanks for adding me. Name is Todd and I live just outside Pittsburgh PA. Currently driving an '05 330i winter and premium pkgs. 138K mi. My wife had an '02 525i but it was a bit of a lemon so it's been moved on. I'm currently looking at a 2007 530xi w/ 71K miles on it. Should know later this week if I get it or not. It's in the Chicago area so there are some logistical issues involved. Wish me luck.
Cheers, Todd

I see you have the same yr/model I'm looking at. I test drove an '08 535xi last week just to see how the car/chassis felt. I was surprised how BIG it felt compared to my wife's old '02 525i. Totally different feel. Still felt pretty spry though in my limited time in it.

Here's some pics of the new whip. '06 530 xi
This is some of the prattle from the ad that gives you idea how loaded this thing is.
- · ONLY 82k miles; that’s less than 6k miles per year.
- · 6-spd ZF transmission.
- · Navigation, DVD based. Car comes with 2015 Tom-Tom disc which is completely compatible (I use it all the time).
- · Top-of-the-line Premium Stereo with spatial surround sound effects, in dash single CD and 6-CD changer in the glovebox.
- · Heads Up display (very rare)
- · Park Distance Control Sensors, Front and Rear
- · Comfort Access keyless entry
- · Front AND Rear heated seats
- · Heated Steering Wheel
- · Homelink built-in Garage door openers
- · Auto-dimming mirrors
- · Rain sensing wipers
- · Adaptive headlights (elevation and turning corners)
- · Tires have about 10k miles on them and, because of my non-aggressive driving style, have LOTS of tread left.
- Original MSRP in 2006 was over $61,000

Thanks Jay, I'm working my way through the manual so I can utilize all the features of I-Drive. I've never had a car with a 6 CD changer. Crazy. All the convenience features are just marvelous. Keyless entry, heated seats, steering wheel, heads up display etc. For a 14 yr old car, the tech is pretty impressive. This is a 2 owner car with service history that may well be the best I've ever seen. Fella I bought it off is a mechanical engineer and CEO of a tool and die company. He said the orig owner was a gazillionaire who used to take the car to dealer every two weeks for a scan, car wash and detail job. Car fax service history report is 7 pages long of oil changes, brake fluid flushes, coolant flushes, trans fluid recently changed with gasket and filter. Has 12K on brake pads, rotors, tires. Life is good. Gotta run, out the door with a Jimi Hendrix CD for the Logic7 to play with.
