Hello from Tokyo! Just got a BMW 545i
Hello,
Happy to be apart of the forum having just purchased my first BMW yesterday at auction - a 2004 BMW 545i high line.
As a foreigner who has just moved to Tokyo it is harder to get details in English so this forum is a saviour to people in my situation.
In any case, car seems to be in good condition with just under 50,000 kms on the clock (not uncommon in Japan) even though its 10 years old and will pick it up in a few weeks once it is registered etc.
Have seen a few threads already on what issues may crop up and appreciate that things may need replacing with a 10 year old car but wondered if anyone had any advice for a BMW novice about to pick up the car? The broker I bought through will look it over, change the oil, oil filter, wiper blades etc but unsure if I should have them check/do other things before I pick it up? Also its a high-line but unsure what an '04 high line package is supposed to include (over the base model) and cannot find this info on the web so far?
Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
