My Ride: 2007 530i Sport
Time to finally say hello...
I have arguably been spending way too much time here on e60.net since taking delivery of my first BMW October 31, but what a great site/forum. I have learned alot of valuable information and really enjoy reading about/seeing pictures of other members e60's, so Thank You to all contributors!
The 5-series has been my favorite vehicle for awhile, especially the e60. Alot of other cars have peaked my interest in recent years, but I always come back to the BMW. So when it came time to "put down" my '98 Aurora, the e60 topped my list of potential upgrades. Two friends had in recent months purchased from our local dealership (2004 M3 Convertible & 2007 X3 Sport) so they put me in contact with their salesperson.
Long story short, I ended up getting an incredible month end deal on a CPO 2007 530i local lease turn in with only 17,900 miles! (Details in Signature)... What an incredible ride! Looks absolutely showroom new inside and out, and got new rubber as part of the CPO. Now I truly know what "The Ultimate Driving Machine" means. I couldn't be happier, in fact my only regret is that my daily commute is only 6 miles one way!
Have been too busy with new baby (daughter was born Oct. 26 --- she's sleeping in a front carrier as I type this) and new BMW "baby" to take any pictures to post, and now the Michigan weather isn't the best for it so may have to wait until Spring.
Winter Tire/Wheel Package goes on tomorrow -- Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's on 17" Sport Edition A7's with TPMS (those local to me should check out Mark at Kimberly Tire in Clawson. He's a TireRack preferred installer and as well if you buy tires from him, balancing/rotating AND seasonal swap outs are free of charge for the life of the tire).
Only Mods so far are a Compass B530 Booster Seat (Black) and Graco SnugRide Infant Carrier/Seat (Silver) , but I've got my eye on a full M-Tech Aero Kit! lol.
Thanks again for the info!

Welcome. I think you will love your 530i.
Not very many of us from the Detroit area around here (and most that are live in places like Novi, Farmington Hills, or Ann Arbor). We may see each other driving sometime since I live in Clarkston and work in Troy, plus my wife works in downtown Rochester and drives my e60 sometimes when I trade vehicles to get more space.
You likely bought from Bavarian and I don't really know anyone over there. If you happen to be with Erhardt Bloomfield Hills ask for Chen as your SA -- he is great!
Consider joining the local club (motorcitybmwcca.org). Worth the cost just for Roundel magazine and the monthly club newletter. I did 2 driving schools with them this year (Waterford Hills and Grattan) and will be at the Chirstmas party (Dec. 10 at Erhardt Farmington Hills). Good group of people.
Again -- welcome and congrats!
