Thank you all for supporting this forum.
My wife an I purchased a 2014 535D with ///M Sport package last August. We've logged almost 10k miles since purchase, as it sits around 123k miles now. It's been a great car for us thus far; I think we've travelled from NC to Detroit, another trip to Nashville, a couple trips up to DC and Pittsburg, and even down south to Birmingham and Atlanta. Needless to say, we love cruising around around in our 535D as it is a wonderful touring vehicle.
I am very much an automotive enthusiast. Currently in the stable, we have:
I am a very capable "mechanic" - I've done my fair share of engine swaps, custom exhaust fabrication, etc. on top of routine maintenance and repairs. This is my first BMW sedan, but not my first BMW product. My first motorcycle was a 2007 BMW R1200R; I loved that motorcycle and rode it 4-seasons including snow in the mountains and 100+ days near the beach.
The 535 has been a pleasure to drive. I've replaced the differential bushings, giubo, transmission flush with Hotshot Adrenaline R Series, transmission oil pan and filter, and coolant hoses and such. Most recently, an oil leak is running down from the top of the engine block and down the back side of the head and onto the flex pipe just past the DPF. I hope to dig into this and address it soon; praying that it's just a valve cover seal or something simple.
