Hello,
Just pickup up my new 2008 528Xi last Wednesday. Believe it or not I ordered it on Thursday night November 29, 2007 and it was here at my dealer in 40 days!! It was built on December 14 and shipped on the Noble ACE on the 17th of December. It showed up at the NJ dock on New Years eve. I never expected that quick of delivery, I was realistic when I ordered it and expected delivery in mid-February at the earliest.
I am a first time BMW owner. Had a 2006 Mercedes 350 E 4-matic I traded in and before that a 2005 Cadillac STS. I hated the Mercedes and will NEVER buy one again. At 8,000 it told me I had to get service (oil change) which cost me $450. What stuck up assholes at my local Mercedes dealership telling me that I should feel good spending that money on such a fine car.
So far I LOVE this car. Needs a little more power and a bigger navigation screen. Other than that it's perfect.

Welcome to the xi group.....it's a beast in the snow! I just found that out last week. If you ever want to consider new rims or springs, there is plenty on info on there re: that for xi's. Enjoy!
