Hey,

I think that the cold weather package is standard on these Canadian Cars.... (either that or it is included in the Cdn Premium Package)

Needless to say, yes, I do have the heated seats (Front and Rear) and the heated steering wheel. Couldn't get by without it!

The only options I did not get on this car were the ventilated seats and the 6 disc cd changer...

Hello All,

I picked up my 09 535xi 2 weeks ago and and still loving the ride! Like many people here have said, once you drive a bimmer it ruins you for anything else I work at a domestic car dealership and find myself loathing those cars every-time I have to drive them....

Regardless, here are the specs on my new car:

2009 535xi Space Grey Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Poplar trim, Premium Package, MSport Package (M Aero kit, 18's 135m, Anthracite headliner, M Steering wheel), Technology Package (HUD, Nav, Sat, US and the Audiophile Sound Package.

I think that some packages may be different than those in the U.S. (do you guys get the MSport package as a factory option yet?)

I've included a picture of my car however it was taken with an iphone in the snowy Canadian wintertime so it's not that good.

I just wanted to say hello to all in these forums!

Cheers!

Congrats on your beauty. I am sure you will enjoy the forum. It is nice to see here someone from Edmonton. I was living there for 5 years. I am really missing this beautiful downtown view. What I am not missing is this long Canadian winter with temperatures dropping down to -40. Thanks to those winters I have learned how to drive on ice. If you don't mind, I will give you a tip. I can see on the pictures that you have nice set of wheels. Save them for the summer. Buy on ebay or somewhere else set of used 17" rims ( I have on mine 530 xi OEM BMW style 138, you can get them for about $100 a piece ) and put on them set of Blizzaks WS-60. Now, you don't need to wait for the summer to start driving your car. The combination of blizzaks with your x- drive will give you even more fun on snow and ice than on dry roads. And the most important, it will keep you on the road, even black icy one. Good luck and say hello the Edmonton from me.

I think my wife was trying to teach me to speak in Canada's language. She told me to go to grocery store and get a can--des. Welcome.

Hey Zibster,

Thanks for the recommendation. I am actually planning on getting the 138 wheels!
It's nice to have a former resident of Edmonton to talk to! I am of course in complete agreement with regards to the -40 weather, however I love Edmonton and will never leave!
You should come back and visit some time! (just make it in the summer! haha)

Hi Zeus.
I was in Edmonton three times after I moved out and I planning to go there again soon (still have a lot of friends there). I am truly missing that city. Anyway, check ebay for tires. I bough mine ws 60 blizzaks for $250 plus $80 shipping with couple hundred miles on them. Tire Rack is selling them $140 a piece and they are out of stock. Make sure to get 43 mm offset wheels, not 20 mm. I am trying to find 18" summer set for my car and there are not much to choose from because of that offset. I love the color of your car. My wife drive 07 X5 in Space Grey. I was thinking to get 5 series in matching Space Grey for my self but black sapphire was equal choice and came first to the play. Again, enjoy your car and see you in Edmonton (in the summer).
