Hello!

Let's see... introductions...

My name is Ben, and I'm an infantryman stationed in Germany (1.5 hours from Munich). Currently, I'm stationed in a little COP in Afghanistan, hoping to be home in January of 2011.

I joined this site because I was deciding whether to buy an 08 Corvette, 09 CTS-V, or an 08 550i/E60 M5. Obviously, I'm signing up here so I'm leaning a bit toward the M5/550i. I'm looking in the classified section hoping to find a decent deal, and looking for what's available in terms of mods/visual enhancements.

Thanks for reading!

Keep your eye out for other soldiers needing to get rid of their US spec BMWs, sometimes Joe gets in over his head on payments and it nips him in the fourth point of contact. Not likely, but I saw it from time to time when I was in Germany. Also, if you did not already know, try the NATO/military sales program at a BMW dealer closest to you (not all of them participate, so you have to check). They price the cars for a flat rate discount and are ordered to spec if requested. Very good deal, I brought back a new E46 in 2002 with this program, and even got BMW to knock off the $650 destination charge since the army was shipping it( and no sales tax for brining it back to AZ) They also move a lot of US spec demos and trade ins too. I had a couple of guys in my unit that bought a E46 convertible and one that bought an X5, both demos for a song! May be worth looking into, never know if one may have what you are looking for.

Godspeed to you brother while downrange, and watch your six!
