Hi All,
I've just parted with my first 5 which is also the longest time I have owned any car. It was an E39 525d which has made way for an E60 520d. My question is will I regret it?

I doubt you'll regret it - the E60 is an amazing car (much like the E39). I'm sure there will be a period of adjustment - E39 and E60 both have plenty of merits, but that doesn't mean that they are the same merits. IMO each of the models has her own pluses and minuses. But you've upgraded, no doubt
