My Ride: 550i M-Sport
Greetings from Toronto - 2008 550i M-Sport
Hello everyone,
I just purchased my new car after some idiot wrote off my winter beater. With my family growing very soon, the wife said I needed something newer, bigger and safer than a dinky 1998 1.6 Acura EL, so I began my search!
My summer car is a 2001 325Ci Cabriolet 5 speed, hence the screen name LOWvert - a play on covert... huh? huh? a bit lame, yes I know. Definitely not a family-oriented car although I can fit child sears in the rear, it's not accessed easily.
Anyway, this is 5series.net, so let's not talk about the 3...
Haven't taken delivery of her yet, but here are some pictures of the beast.

The only think it is missing that I would have wanted is the Sport Automatic Transmission and the Rear Sunblinds.
It has significant service records which I found in the glove box and seems to drive really well on my 30 minute test drive yesterday
I am excited to bring it home.
Okay, enough talk, on to pics...
Things to do in the future:
- E65 headrests
- M5 rear bumper as there is a significant dent in the passenger side rear
- Rear lip spoiler
- Retrofit CCC controller
- Sport Automatic shifter and steering wheel (those paddle shifters doe)
Looking forward to some interesting discussions and possible meets.
