Been driving a 1998 528i/5 sport package since December 2000 - bought it with 29K miles, now it has a hair under 150K.

The car:
Black/black, sport package

Some mods over the years:
Victor leather 4-spoke steering wheel
UUC short throw shifter
Drilled-out clutch delay valve
M5 rear swaybar
2001+ bumper and painted moldings
Style 42 wheels with 245/45/17 at all four corners
Replacement front armrest with storage
5-channel amplifier with MBQuart separates and 10" sub (over battery compartment)
I just installed an aftermarket replacement (2001+) polyurethane bumper (bought from eBay) and it looks great - cost only $150 shipped (but had to have it painted)
Hella HID lamps with DEPO smoked covers (non-CELIS) and euro-spec M5 red/white taillights


Some nagging issues:

• Airbag light on - recently changed slip ring, but now think that the battery safety terminal may be the culprit
• MID has very few pixels remaining
• Driver seat outboard panel broken - needs to be changed
• front suspension not perfect - pretty sure my original bushings need to be changed

But the engine is still running well ... been a great car to drive for over 120K miles.
