My Ride: AC Schnitzer Mystic Blue 545i, RDSport quad exhaust, H&R sway bars, 19in staggered Hartge Classic wheels w/ Toyo T1-R, RPI scoop. BMC filter
This forum has an incredible amount of information and the members all appear courteous and helpful..unlike some other non-E60 forums I have used.
Since I started browsing this forum a few months ago, I discovered and corrected several issues with my 545i. Only 2 repairs were performed by my BMW dealer.
- Replaced broken headlight brackets (warranty repair)
- Corrected power window anti-trap problem (warranty repair)
- Found out how to do an oil change
- Fixed the Hood latch
- Installed a CD changer
- Adjusted the headlights
- Corrected creaking door seals
- Found out how to program the radio presets
- Found out how to program the garage door opener
- Found out that the main beam is used for DRL and flash to pass in North America
- Understood how bi-xenons worked
- Found the cause of squealing brakes
- Changed the bulbs in the foglamps
- Found lots of info on body kits and wheels
Still need to full understand the differences and advantages/disadvanatges between DSC and DTC..especially when driving on snow covered roads during our Canadian winters.
Also found an article that describes the trunk opening adjustment that will prevent unsuspecting folks from getting knocked unconscious. I can send the info if anyone is interested.
