Congrats on your purchase! Where are the pics?

How many miles on the car? Post the mileage then we can tell you what to look out for...it should be the same as your E46. If it has high miles start with the water pump first.

Congrats and

Since you've got CPO, have the dealer check sunroof seal - common issue. Also, look around the front passenger foot well and the spare tire and battery compartments for ANY signs of moisture - car has some control modules in some very unfortunate places, you don't wanna end up with having to replace any of those. Beyond that, the usual stuff - alternator, thermostat, belt.

These cars are really dual-natured - on one hand, when maintained properly, they are awesomely reliable and robust. On the other hand, if they aren't looked after right, they can turn into nightmares. But you seem like you know your way around cars, so you should be just

BTW searching this forum for info on various fixes has saved me more than a couple of grand in repair/maintenance costs so far - and counting. So keep it handy and you should be just fine! Congrats on the new car and good luck with it!

thanks for the greatings guys.. and yeah its an 05 with 60k miles..
as for the pictrues here they are.. still stock..

as for the things to look for i will get one it asap!..
but yeah im waiting to sell some rims the i had on my e46 before only had them on the car for 1 week then i sold them and now i got the 530 so of course they dont fit cuz of the offset... but once i sell them ill get some for the 5 quick!! also im planning on tint 20% all around and wire it up for some subs as for engine mods .. since its an auto.. ill just leave it alone.. maybe just drop a k&n air filter to help it breath a bit better..

so quick question since i want to put some rims first..
the rims i had on my e46 were some BBS RS GT reps 19x8.5 F and 19x9.5 rear offsets 35/43 .. i havent tried them on but u guys think they will fit my 530?

whats the best offset for rims and whats a good size rims and tires.. thanks!

non-M E46 rims fit Xi E60's, are yours 19 or bigger? I just bought a set of BBS's for my Xi from a guy on e46fanatics

https://5series.net/forums/topic/652...p/page__st__15

How big do you wanna go? 19's most people go with what BMW does on the M sport - 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears. Some go 285 in the back. On 20's most people get 245/30 fr and 275/25 rears, I think. Rim widths 8.5-9 front and 9.5-11 rears. Mine's an Xi, so my offsets are different, but the original offsets on RWD for 8.5x18 are ET20.

sorry for the late reply.. lol.. but i wanted to keep it at 19" and the offset of my old rims were 35/43 im way off and i dont kno if i want bulky spacers to keep my rims.. maybe i should post my rims on here and an xi owner can buy em!

Just wanted to ask you something real quick. Judging from the interior picture I notice you have power folding mirrors? Were these retrofitted by the PO or stock option? Reason I ask is because my friend who is looking for a 550i 2006/2007 we can't find any E60 with power folding mirrors and he lives in the city and parks on the street.
