Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm looking forward to scouring the board for information. I'm 26, purchased a house last year, looking to be credit card debt free by May of 2011. Some time around August of 2011 I'd like to potentially purchase a used 2008 550i. I'm currently driving a 2008 Civic Si and a 99 Pontiac Bonneville that my grandfather graciously gave me for free. Hopefully I can part ways with the Si and have the Bonneville as a DD so I can keep the 550i garaged once I purchase one.

Thanks in advance for the advice and discussion.

sounds like a great plan, keep us posted. 550 is a strong choice.

Welcome and congrats on the house.

Agreed with member 'Sluis530'. E60 550i is a great choice.

Civic Si is fun, but the 550i will be super fun x 2

Yeah, I know that I'm kinda making a large leap from my Si to the 550i. The Si served its purpose of being economical, reliable and sporty at a good price. But I'm ready to mature into something better and that's not a knock on the Si or people who own them.

I choose the 550i because it's really the top of that class. It'll have a check mark beside "all of the above". I think that in the time-frame that I'm looking at, I can find one reasonably priced.
