My Ride: BMW E60 525dA 11-2004 Silver
HUD, BT, Voice Control, Active Seats, Seat Heating (front), Xenon HID, Navigation Professional with CCC, Leather Dakota Black, Folding mirros, anti-glare mirrors in+outside, HiFi, CiC retrofitted, Aux in, CD Changer, Dension 500GW, etc...
Hi guys,
Kinda skipped this forum section in my search for E60 information .
Anyway here I am, I'm from Belgium and love to work on my BMW with a lot of TLC like most of us I guess.
Just got my new ride last Thursday:
BMW E60 Saloon 525dA Titanium Silver Metallic
M57N Diesel Engine
November 2004
Here's a few things already in:
- Head Up Display
- Automatic Transmission (steptronic)
- Professional Navigation (wide screen + DVD drive)
- Hi-Fi speakers
- Seat heating (front)
- Active seats
- Bluetooth
- Voice control
- Leather (Dakota Black)
- PDC
- Wheel styling 134
- Fine Wood Birch Trim
- High end Airconditioning (there are 2 version of airco here in Europe)
- Folding Mirrors
- Anti glare side+interior mirror
Some things I'd like to do to the new car:
- Getting my bloody Nokia E90 synched with the iDrive Bluetooth
- MP3 playback on my CD and DVD drive (damn mechanics don't know it's possible argh, showed them the BMW SI pdf from the forum here, still no clue. "Do you have it in German" they say)
- Retrofit ACM + USB
- Put a decent shift knob on the steptronic shifter
- Same for the iDrive knob (leather insert thing)
- Comfort seats
- Adaptive lighting
- Bi-Xenon
- Active Cruise Control
- Front & Rear cam
- Throughloading system
- Change the wood trim perhaps
- Install a sunroof (or maybe not, depends on my sanity )
- etc...
Some of my former DIY's:
Retrofit Automatic Airconditioning + AUC into my E34 that only had a heater (that install almost killed me )
Retrofit Xenon headlights on my E39
Install & integrate CarPC into E39 with GPS tracking,
Etc...
Former cars:
Suzuki Alto 3 door (Red & shabby tin can and drove it till it fell apart) 1995 - 1997
316 coup? (silver metallic) 1997-2000
318i sedan E30 (diamond black metallic) 1998-2000
525i sedan E34 (oxford green metallic) 2000-2004
523i sedan E39 (silver greenish metallic) 2004-2008
Anyway, hope to see you guys a lot in future and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys
Already been using the search feature all week was afraid I'd crash the thing with all my searches hehe.
I've uploaded some pics of the interior that the salesman took before he sold it (check my album).
Unfortunately yesterday a truck dumped a load of bricks next to my car yesterday (driving too fast in a corner while on the phone), just evaded the worst of it but my left & front side is still a bit scratched and scarred here & there.
Tomorrow it's going to the body shop for replacement parts & respray so on Monday I'll take some pics of the beasty
Cheers
