I'll make sure to get the good quality reps when it's time to replace the tires. Read somewhere here that wheels and caps' reps have decent quality but still need to look into it furthermore.

As for the car seat issue, it's still early right now for us since my wife is due in January of next year but as usual, she's starting to complain about the size of her car and mine. She wants a set up where we can fit both car seats in the back with her back there also so she can be next to the baby. I was looking at getting a large SUV, Yukon Denali or possibly Armada, and she can drive my 5 but she insisted on a minivan since, according to her, the most practical vehicle for our growing family.

Hope to see you around San Jose. I still travel down to San Jose weekly since my office is down there and do notice the growing amount of E60's on the highway. May be one of these days once I get around to do all the mods on my wish list, then I'll meet up with all you guys down there.

As for the rims, I'm gonna wait out till my RFTs are worn out, then I'll switch. I was looking at either the M6 reps or the 128 (not sure about the model number but it's the 5 spokes on the 7 series). I like anything that is simple yet elegant.

My wife is about 10 weeks preganant, we're so excited about our new addition. I've thought about a minivan, and oh man it scares me! Do I want the Honda Odyssey or the Toyota Sienna? I think we'll still be ok in the e60.

I'm tired my e60's rims. Maybe before the end of the year I can swap 'em for something else.

Best,

Chris

Coincidentally, I have one son (he's now 5) and we also have an MDX. I put his car seat in the middle to minimize injuries from broadside collissions.

On the wheels, I like them both and those two as well as the 166s (M5 wheels) are popular OEM alternatives for the E60. Just make sure if you get reps, that you can validate they have good hubcentric fitment as some others have had bad experiences with lower quality imitations in the past. One obvious way to also save money is to wait for a used set for sale; here or on M5board.com.

Thanks for the pointers in regards to the car-seat. Like any good parent, we want our bundle-of-joy to be as safe as possible.

I've read about Miros M167( M6 reps). Looks like a good deal, give or take $850+ for 19" staggered I'll need to do a bit more research on these.

All the best,

Chris

Hey Dave, welcome to the forum as well. I actually went to school at SFSU. Enjoy the new ride Dave.

Congrats on the purchase and the expanding family.

I read a lot of positive feedback about them on yelp.com. I'm excited about putting mods downs the road, and I will definitely give them a call. Thanks for the follow-up recommendation.
