Impatient waiter saying hello, new to the board. I have been following the production of my ordered 545 through BMW's website. The car has been produced for about a week now and is still "awaiting transportation". Have been browsing this board for a few days, the more I read about this car, the more impatient and excitied I become. I feel very confident in my decision to go with the 545. How have everyone elses expectations measured up to the result of their new E60?

Welcome to the board! Glad to have you with us.
Your wait will more than worth it. I only had to wait a week.
They found my car being unloaded a week after I finalized my options so I was lucky.
With many of the minor glitches being solved, you should have a great time with yours.
Happy driving to ya!

welcome
just got back from another pointless blast in my 545i
neck snapping in 2nd from 35-40mph
surge continues in 3rd and 4th
fantastic engine - cutting edge looks - leading (sometimes bleeding) edge technology - can't think of another car I would want...except MAYBE a 997s

You'll love the 545. Great fun to drive, after 4,000 miles and 4 months. Can't wait to drive it, every time. Taking highway ramps at 50 miles per hour is a blast.

Welcome to the best BMW board!
After 3600 miles I still look for reasons to drive my 5 er. The 545 is an absolutely awesome car! It has exceeded my already high expectations. It is sooooooooo much fun to drive. Build quality has been flawless. What a great car!

JG996, welcome aboard.
I am another impatient waiter, too. Looks like your baby was born on the same time as my 545Ai, Oct 15. You should call BMWNA automated answering system. They give more updated info than OC web site. The message says for my case, " your vehicle is at the port waiting for the shipping vessel, there is no shipping info available at this time".
This is a code 193 in FAQ ( http://www.e60.net/faq/#pq5 ) and next step is to assign the dispach vessel. Then the ship will start sailing.
Where do you live? Hope ours will be on the same vessel soon.
