My Ride: 08 550i Titanium Silver, Black interior, sport package, steptronic
Hi - I am new to the forum but had a jet black 1990 535i for several years to which I had done the dinan stage 3 suspension and the chips for the engine and trans. I ended up selling it when I got a too good to turn down deal on a 1996 supercharged jaguar XJR. I also own a 1990 prosche C2 cabriolet.
I am coming back into the fold now as I Just ordered a 2008 550i today from our local dealer, to replace the aging jag. (I am keeping the 911, because when you are married with children and sell your 911, the chances for most guys of ever getting another one are about 0.1%.)
Car as ordered is Titanium Silver, black interior, sport package, sunshades, premium sound and I pod adapter. Build date is week 13, which is end of March so I am hoping to see it in May as being in Hawaii adds a week or two to the whole process.
As far as price . . There is one BMW dealer here in the state of Hawaii with one branch on the island of Oahu where I live and and one branch on the island of Maui. The next closest dealer is about 2500 miles of water away. Let just say that there is not a lot of price competition if you want a BMW and live in Hawaii.
It is a little scary ordering sight unseen, and there does not really seem to be much information on the 08s that I could find. If anyone has info on the 08, I would really appreciate hearing about it.

Don't worry about not seeing the car beforehand. You'll love it and it sounds like you got it loaded with all the right options. Congrats and welcome to the most informative site for your car. Whenever you have a question, just post it here or do a search on it. Don't bother with your dealer. Most of the time, they're useless.
