I bought this three weeks ago. It is my first 5, and my first BMW too. It is a 56-plate 520d M-Sport in mystic blue, completetely standard but immaculate inside and out.

I had it remapped by a local tuning company, and it has really transformed the car from being slightly sluggish to a smooth powerful cruising machine, overtaking is a breeze thanks to 315lbft torque

Anyway I've joined the forum as I want to hear what others have to say about the car, and to see what tasteful modifications can be done to the E60. I've a few ideas in my head so I'll have a look around here and see what's what.

I've included a few pictures of my car, which I absolutely love btw!

It is a local firm in Northern Ireland. Very noticeable gains when driving, really pulls very well now.

Thanks!

There are some stunning E60s on here, mine's looking a little plain now

I'll have to get some 20s on it!

congrats on the new ride!

Seeing as you open the door to suggestions, the easiest+cheapest+quickest mod is the LCI chrome tailpipe cover. Check out this link here, which has details on where I purchased mine from for my pre-LCI 520d (- previous ride).

As for wheels, if its OEM, then I think my choices are pretty obvious; check out my signature for details!
I'd have to say that if I was buying non-OEM items, it would have to be 20s like you wrote above

Enjoy....

Hey xBMWx that is exactly what I've been looking for!

Thanks for the link. I knew I'd seen cars with it on, and it looked like a cover, but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. Cheers

Wheels: 19" OEM will my first choice. Not sure on the 166, but I like the 172 split spokes.

I see you had a 520d before the 525d. The remap has made a big difference over standard performance, have you thought about mapping the 525d?
