1st BMW after 16years in the german opposition

found the forum by chance & have to say it looks great ,quick intro /lancashire uk ,43 yrs old construction worker with a rabid passion for german motors(would,nt consider anything else with my hard earned ££££) lured away from bmw in the 90,s to mercedes & more recently VW,s
still running a remapped 20v turbo passat estate workhorse whilst mrs w gets the tourer,we also have the ultimate(just my opinion)german motor in the garage for weekends ,its a 1993 carrera2 aircooled heaven
anyhow , back to the BMW , its replaced possibly the best family car we,ve ever had, a VW touareg , mrs w loved it but i found it a little lazy(even after remap) & liked a drink if you know what i mean
i much prefer to be "in" my cars & not "on" them
the tourer is 2007 LCI 520d auto 70k miles with not many extras compared to the touareg but in all honesty other than folding mirrors&heated seats am not missing the VW at all
will spend my evening reading up past posts

Great cars, both of them, but the weekend warrior should be a blast. And you're absolutely right about sitting in a car instead of on it, biggest drawback of SUV's in my opinion.
