Hello 5ers
I have just purchased an immaculate '05 530i in silver grey on black leather. I'm from Sydney, Australia.
It is well optioned: xenons, comfort seats, 18 inch wheels (looks to be the same ones that are on 550is) with non-run flats and spare tyre, power rear blind, sunroof, professional nav with tv (including standard definition digital) and heated seats.
I'm not sure whether I have bluetooth because when I push up to communication it says "telephone from other manufacturer installed". Does anyone know what this means? There is no mention of bluetooth or communication settings in the "i" menu. It doesn't look good!
After a string of Lexus and Toyota cars, I have decided to try something new. So far so good; except for the $177 I was charged by BMW for new wiper blades (I know I could of got these of the internet cheaper but I was in a rush).
I was a bit miffed with iDrive at first, but now I've got it down pat (after reading the forum). It isn't intuitive until you learn it, after that it is a snap.
My Wife drives an '09 Volvo XC70, so this is the first time we've had an all Euro garage.
Anyway, I will post a picture when I've got a chance.
The mods I am thinking of include a reversing camera (as I have a toddler) and bluetooth (if I don't already have it).
I am surprised how good this car is and now really can't imagine not owning a 5 now and into the future.
