[n00b] My new 2005 545i manual from Blacksburg, VA
#1
Finally!
After months of deliberating between the 545i, is350, and the g35 coupe, I finally traveled 300+ miles to pick up my 2005 545i (with cash; no loans.. all of my hard earned money ). I also lightly considered an e46 M3, 335i, and S4. When I started doing research into what car I wanted, my gut was telling me to get the 545i. I was trying to find reasons to get another car, but to no avail. I finally caved in. I really haven't stopped smiling much over the past couple of days after picking this up.. AMAZINGLY fun car to drive and turns heads. It's just so DAMN SEXY! haha.
It's a manual transmission (friends don't get to drive )loaded with the sport package, navi, head up display, cold weather package, sirius, bluetooth, etc. Only 40,000 miles!
A bit about me:
I look forward to learning a shit ton about these cars in the coming months! I still can't get over how beautiful these cars are. I really hope I don't stay this excited about the car forever.. I'm rubbing it off on everyone just how sweet my car is.
ALSO: what would you guys say are the most common mods for the e60? Thanks!
Dan

A bit about me:
- I'm 22 years old, and I'm finishing up a business degree at Virginia Tech (should be graduating in December) then I'll be moving back up to Northern VA
- I own an online magazine subscription agency, so if anyone needs any h00kups on car magazines in the US (or anything else), get in touch.
- My previous car was a POS 1999 Nissan Maxima 5sp manual with 202,000 miles on it.

Welcome! and great choice. you wont be disappointed.
first mod i would recommend to personalized your e60 is to change the oem 124. don't get me wrong, i like the 124's (i too had them) however, they are all to common on our sports pkg. get the 166!!
congrats

But get the 172's or 167's -- not the 166's. Really, the choice of wheels is just a matter of personal taste.
