Hi Santiago,

sorry to hear that (I bumped our Golf some day ago :'( ). Are you sure it can't be done by smart repair? How large is the damage (picture?)

regs (and sorry)

So you will show up with scratched car.
Yes, unfortunately. The car is now "old and scratched" It is in a place that can't be just fixed. I'll take it to the dealer and see what they tell me. Maybe one of you guys has a good idea??

Pictures attached.

Regards,
Santiago

PS I know you're kidding Marco.

From the picture it looks like the top section has a scratch only (which MAY be able to be removed by buffing), and the bottom diffuser section has the dent. The good thing is that the diffuser is a separate piece, so if the bumper does in fact just have a superficial scratch then they can buff it out and you would only have to buy a new diffuser and have it painted (instead of the whole bumper).

Santiago,

You could order a new diffuser painted by factory! Like Rodybmw said on the top section probably a polish work will fix it

I had to change my bumper for a scratch without a dent that was lesser than this one.
There is not much the dealer can do on the bumper.
Ordering a new allready painted bumper from the factory was my best option.

All,

Damn, I figured this would happen but my current workload has facilitated the need for cancellation of this trip. I contacted the hotels this afternoon so hopefully someone will be able to slide in my spot.

Maybe I can make the next one. If they bring my t-shirts tell them to PM me and I will send the money and give them the address for shipping.
