Thank you. We can have up to 60 participants for the BMW factory. We have 44 right now.

Enjoy your holidays.

UPDATE UPDATE

I got a note today from the hotel and the manager wants "someone" to be responsible for the cost of the rooms in case people do not show up.

So FORGET ABOUT A BLOCK OF ROOMS. I can not guarantee the hotel that we'll fill so many rooms if they theaten to charge ME when people do not come.

Everyone needs to reserve their rooms and do it pronto. I have asked them to disregard the blocking of rooms for the meet so it will be first come, first served. If we have enough people registered, they we can resurface the meeting room issue for the 18th. If needs be, we can always meet in the garage with the cars anyway, but I thought it'd be nice to have a regular room where we could eat and hang out with the wives/friends. I'm just not going to guarantee it personally.

So, first come, first served on the rooms at the Lindner Hotel Kaiserhof.

Last thing, they never told me why the group rate was higher anyway, and it seems we're better off individually. A couple of you got rooms for 95 Euro already.

Regards,
Santiago.

I tried to book two double rooms for 18-20.06.2006, but unfortunately all I got was:

"For the date you requested there are either no rooms available or no rates have been set up. Please check with our Reservation Department for possible alternative dates. Phone number: +49 871 687 423 "

Should I try another hotel nearby?

Phone the hotel, i tried to book on line without any luck. Make sure you book for the 18-20.07.2006 and not 18-20.06.2006..

Yeah, you were asking for JUNE 18-20. It's July 18-20. A couple of people have already booked for our July dates so I don't know - maybe they're already booked for June. Call them up instead of using the website like 535D Sport says.

And yeah unfortunately I can't afford to set rooms aside on my own, so book early. I will book my room tomorrow.

The first response I got from them was very promising - now that they passed the request to the business people, they turned "all business".

GOOD! I booked mine today as well.

I'll tell you - I've spoken with three diferent people and gotten three different rates. My room came out to 146.00 Euro per night for a double with breakfast included. They told me there is no such thing as a 95.00 Euro room, but 535D Sport got three of them!! One person quoted me 109.00 Euro, another 115 Euro and yet later they quoted me 119.00 Euro. Smoking weed must be legal in that part of Germany...

There must be different kinds of rooms and whether breakfast is included or not jacks up the prices as well.

Anyway, we now have 9 people commited/confirmed from 45 on the list.

It's going to be great!
