Guys,

I just came back from the Ultimate Drving experience with the new E90s (2006 330i with Sport, step and Active Steering).. all I can say is WAO! If you thought the last 3 was the ultimate , you have to drive the new one..it kicks ass.... fast, precise and in full control...its active steering settings are similar (if not the same) to my latest Idrive V17.01 upgrade program. My steering now is firmer and more precise.
Back to the topic, they let you do a total of 8 laps plus 2 laps with each a G35 sport and a A4 sport... the G35 had some compuse and was OK with a little giggle chassis, so so brakes and OK power (not sure where all the 280 hp are but it does not feel like that power), the Audi 3.2 Quattro was the worst, the nose keep understeeign and felt like a pig... the 330i was just perfect and amzing..the way it eat the corners and braking seemed like i was driving my old E46 M3.. anywho, just pumped, adredaline rushing and and... well the sad thing is that when i left i decided to floor my car and felt like it was not moving the revs seemed like it was taking forever to raise and the car was not moving. I think that high.fast rev 3.0liter engin in the E60 is going to be awesome....

well just felt like sharing because i'm not needing the extra room anymore and for the money , the new 330i is a hell of a car...ummm

I may get arguments against my statement, but upon review of specifications, the new 330 is a lighter/smaller 530. It cannot help but be more fun to drive. I predict great things for that car on the track too.
I need the larger 5 but I could sqeeeze into a 330 for some fun.

Simple1, You need to be part of the BMW Owners Circle to receive an invitation. Alos you can check in the BMW web page where the next one will be so you can showup there and register to be in standby. I tell you the whole experience that last 2Hrs is FUN!! lots of FUN!! you drive the car like you have never driven it before..

sg530, in looks is almost a smaller E60 but the chassis and everything else is an evolution of the old E46...still perflexes on this geman ingeneering where they do concentrate on the whole driving experinece, handling, perfect everything... now if they could just get soem different designers BMW new models will rock. In my opinion they all look OK, different than anything else on the road. But sometimes look is not everything, I was the first one to criticized the E60 when it came out a fugly.. but now you see me driving one and liking it.. the front still is not right, time to invest on a new M bumper..

Funny though, the 2006 530i isn't heavier than the 2006 330i by much. Larger yes, but a light driver could easily negate the weight savings in a 330i. According to BMWUSA - the 330i with sport package weighs 3450 lbs, and the 530i manual is 3472 lbs. They seem to think that should equate to 6.1 0-60 for the 330i vs. 6.4 on the 530i... I'm not so sure the difference would be even this big though. Oh, and the 530i has a better final drive ratio for acceleration. I'm dying to see a car magazine test the new 530i - Car and Driver's E90 went 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and did a 14.3 quarter mile.

The A4 3.2 is a pig - it's heavier than my 530i. I've driven friends' G35 coupes and sedans... I'd have to agree with the description in the original post.
