I presumed the talk was meeting up midday, lunch, drink, look at the cars.

What/where you hunting? What's your UK itinerary?

BangleBox,

I'm arriving in the UK on Thur., Jan 13th. Have a dinner Friday night w/ the hunt Saturday morning. We are hunting pheasant I believe (Guess fox is out of the question now!). My parents are retired and spend half the year in London, so my father has arranged the hunt. I'll have to get more information from him as far as location. I'm really looking forward to the trip, I've never been hunting in the UK, usually just hunting for ducks in the swamps around New Orleans.

kscarrol

sounds like a great trip - any chance of a free pheasant!!

I live near Luton Airport so if anyone is flying Easyjet I'd be happy to taxi.

Jonboy, thanks for the taxi offer, but I'm afraid Gatwick is a bit out of your way! The Gatwick Express into Victoria puts me just 3 blocks from my parents flat. As for the pheasant, you are assuming that I will actually bag one, which is a very generous assumption on your part. It has been several years since I've done any hunting, so this trip should be interseting. Not really sure what time I'll get back to London Saturday, so if the meet is a midday thing, I may either show up late or just have to catch one some other time.

I live close to Gatwick. But if you're off to London, the train is the best way.

How long are you in the UK for?

Returning to New Orleans on Monday Jan 17th. Just a quick trip over for the hunt. Will be back for a longer stay late spring/early summer, depending on kids school schedule.

Hey guys I?m looking into doing this meet and am trying to decide on the best travel days. I have some questions about the tunnel. Eurotunnel.com has an online ticket, 3-day weekend for Euro 136, which must include a Saturday night stay. Is it better to travel on Friday or wait till Saturday morning? Return Sunday or wait till Monday? Do I get on the train at the time I book or can they push me back to a later train? Sorry I hate surprises 7 hours from home. Is this 3 day option the best deal or do you have other ideas?
