i do this every once in awhile and it has always been enjoyable. there are three basic run groups: beginner, intermediate, advanced. in beginner you start off with everyone going in a straight line around the course learning the lines. then after the 2nd run you get to go all out (you can only pass on the straights).

anyone interested to head out either the 4th or 5th? i know it's early but they do fill up pretty quick. oh you'll need a helmet as well, motorcycle helmets won't work.

Isn't there anything closer? If so, I'll go. Also, I probably don't want to track in my 20" wheels. Good thing I still have my stock 18"s.

They use a combination of the infield course and the oval and call it the roval. For some reason, it normally costs a bit more than the likes of buttonwillow or streets.

There are different configurations, but here's a random vid of the track.

If you're interested, a quick search shows some dates for July, but it's only the infield course. Speedventures has the roval dates in November, but there's probably other dates before that.
