Like 20 minutes

 

i think it is about hour/hour and a half for me, which is still half the amount of time it would take to get to FTL area.

i live off of 75 in tampa. it is easy for me to jump on and head south. crossing the state west to east is what sucks for me. actually, 75 is not the fastest way for me to cross. fastest way is 60 to the turnpike to 95. it is not an easy drive for us tampa people. all two of us

 

You should definitly come to the next meet!

 

I am in for a meet also! somewhere in southbeach would be cool we would be able to take some good pictures!

 

for the SF folks it's about 1:40 away, which is fine with me as well! Driving a couple of hours would be fun...
Next on agenda, I'll let you boys pick type of event and date, I am flexible just don't make it on a Sunday so if we drive we can recover... Ball is in your court!

 

I'm open to everything. Naples would be great but I can drive down to miami aswell

 

it cant be a sunday for me, i work sunday nights at 5:30. if it is in SoFla i am probably going to have to spend the night down there and i will be in no shape to drive anyhow. i was parousing the internet for events, nothing seems to be going on. looks like we will have to create the event. i think we may need to get an idea and involve other boards... well it is saturday night and i got my hur did and a new shirt from guess, so i am jumping in the shower and going out. tomorrow night when i am back at work i will have more time to hunt down possible events. i may consider emailing the chapter of BMWCCA that i am in but never did anything with. they look like a bunch of old boring people. i could be wrong though. i will also call dealerships and see if they are willing to host a saturday event, we will just need a place to set up, grill, etc. if a bmw dealer has like a field or empty lot that would be ideal. we would need to probably be willing to provide more food/bevarages then for just us as we will have to welcome visitors off the street and other dealership customers, but that will be the premium for having the opportunity to meet with new bmw people, maybe get some of the techs to come out, giving us a chance to get some off-line answers, especially about mods and what the dealers do to find out what you have done, etc. i think bringing our meet to a BMW centric location is not just a great opportunity to meet up with other e60 forum members, but other forum members and BMW employees. this could be more then a meet, could be an opportunity.

lets think outside the box for this one.
