No, but I wish I did. You probably know about "The Forty Days of Musa Dagh". My grandfather was a young boy who crossed this desert with his family to avoid persecution from the Turks.

For those that don't know, Hitler got some of his ideas from the Turkish persecution of the Armenians. Crazy stuff.

Yes, it is known as the "first genocide of the 20th century".....before Hitler started his own. Since my grandparents did not live under the Turks they were not directly involved in the events around 1915. But there were cousins and extended family members that were effected by it.
