A couple of questions for Mike (and anyone else who cares to chime in):

-So Mike, what you ordered in the restaurant WAS in fact the 7 coarse beef and not just individual dishes that you chose, correct. If I were to go to another Vietnamese Restaurant and wanted the same stuff I would just ask for the 7 coarse beef, right? (of coarse, assuming that they do offer that on their menu).

-Talking about other Vietnamese restaurants......does anyone know of any decent ones in the San Fernando Valley? I've been to a couple of Pho places on Sepulveda, but they have been dirty and had TERRIBLE service...........Any decent clean restaurants in the valley that serve the 7 coarse beef?

Thanks

1) Just say Bo 7 Mon (direct vietnamese translation is "Beef 7 Courses" which you can just say 7 courses of beef) and they will bring out the 7 courses of beef. No need for individual order.

When we went all I did was order 5 servings of "Bo 7 Mon." One serving usually feeds one guy or two girls. Each serving consists of 3 pieces of meat out of each of the 7 courses. I also ordered 2 medium fish. A fish feeds like 4 people.

2) Phong Dinh Resturant
2643 SAN GABRIEL BLVD
Rosemead CA 91770

It's kinda close to SFV. The food is the same setup as the one we went to.

I actually think the food there is way better than the one we went to.

Maybe we should have one of our future meets there and have our Orange County members drive up for a change.

Talk to Kathy. She's the forums resident meet coordinator.
