Socal caravan to SLO

I'm just floating this as a purely maybe idea. I'm thinking about joining you guys on Saturday on the ride from Long Beach to Encino to SLO...but on my motorcycle instead of my 5-er. (Pic below was taken up at Big Sur last March, the weekend after I sold my '06 Yamaha FJR1300 and bought the new '07 six-cylinder GL1800 fully-loaded 'Wing.) Three reasons for possibly doing this:
1) My 23 year old daughter Alison (whom many of you met on our previous March SLO ride) is working this Saturday and can't join Dad.
2) I tore my right calf muscle playing basketball last week, and it's actually less painful to ride the 'Wing (right foot either rests or controls rear brake) than to drive the car (right foot can't sit flat when not pushing gas/brake). Riding is like breathing to me: I've owned 10 bikes over the past 30 years.
3) If I could find a lightweight (i.e. weighs less than 120 lbs, male or female) passenger, for part of the ride, to operate my video camera from my motorcycle's ultra-comfy passenger seat--on a safe, straight section of freeway--he/she could shoot (and I could later edit) some excellent "at speed, from all angles" footage of other members' 5-ers. Might be a unique way to capture what your car looks like when it's not in your driveway...
I'm not a barbeque guy (vegetarian who eats fish only), and I have a close relative who lives in Ventura county, so I may just do the ride, shoot some vids (with a volunteer passenger / camera operator) for part of it, meet everyone in SLO (maybe check out some raw, unedited video clips), then take off. Again, just a maybe at this point. Thoughts? Suggestions?

have your daughter call in sick and ride in the back w/u...but if she must go to work, then your idea of a video is excellent. hope you find someone to ride w/u.

There better be videos of this meet this time. I want to see Joe(r1racer) vs. Joe(VT) and Joe(r1racer) vs. ECF.

No love for first-timer, like me.

The should definitely video some runs with you involved Kenny. You guys have a better chance of taping runs on the SoCal caravan going to SLO than with any runs with me involved. My wife will be with me so I don't think she'd like the idea of us taking off during the day and doing some runs....but we'll see.

Yeah right John,
If memeory serves me right, at the last SLO meeting you were trying to hall as and keep up with the ronny and the eurorev crew. You passed me a few times last time up and I was doing pretty fast

I'm sure you have a loaner so you have no excuses even if you don't get your car back.

...it would have been nice to find a video/still shooter to hop on the passenger seat for a few miles, 'cuz shots of moving vehicles from a bike are unobstructed. (Plus, as an amateur filmmaker I'd love to try my hand at editing some on-the-road E60 footage.) Oh well, I'll still ride along with you guys on my 'Wing.
