It was great, Scott. We went to Felidia's. Felidia is the famous Italian chef that's been on TV's PBS for 20+ years and cooked with Julia Childs and Jacque Pepin. She's pretty amazing. We did the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. It's definitely one of the top Italian restaurants in the city, but not cheap. I'm still a huge fan of Lupa on Thompson.

Next up, Per Se and Masa's.
Sounds great. I have to try Felidia's.

My favorite splurge place is still Le Bernardin.

Number one on my to try list is Babbo's. I know I'll love it because I really liked Osteria Mazza in LA.

I've got a dinner at Tribeca Grill tonight which should be good. Food is my downfall.

Babbo's is OK. Wasn't overly impressed. Of all of Mario's places, I'm still a huge fan of Po. It's always consistent. And whoever thought tongue could taste so good! Hahahaha! He's one of the main partners at Lupa, which is why I think Lupa is one of my fav's. It's rustic italian.

Tribeca Grill is good. Enjoy!

25 was a good turnout considering that it was pouring when people had to leave their homes to make the meet. If it had been sunny at that time, I think that we would have had 50-60 cars.
Maybe one of these days weather forecasting will actually go from an occult to a science - maybe then we wouldn't have this kind of levels of flakiness

Dude, you only wake'n'bake on the days when you have to work - not on weekends! Can't believe you don't know that...

Joining Scott on congrats with the successful anniversary evening. When I came back to Brooklyn and joined my friends Stan and Julia for dinner, it turned out to be their anniversary as well, so I took them to a nice little sushi "hole in the wall" restaurant in the neighborhood ... anyway, that's not really what I wanted to say - what I wanted to say is that there seems to be more than enough people interested in good food on the forum, so I was thinking it would be nice to do a thread on NYC area restaurants (I promise I won't recommend El Greco, John )
