+1 for AQUA, Michael Mina and Gary Danko.

Gary Danko has the best portion, you'are actually full after dinner. The food of AQUA is very good but the portion is rather small.

If you like Vietnamese food, try Slanted Door. It's THE BEST Be sure to make reservation, that place is always booked.

I'm going to ask Anthony about his restaurant. The main reason I want to do it there is because of the garages. It's all about his private garages for our cars. When you go, you'll understand why it works out best. If you know of another good restaurant that allows us to park our own cars and won't touch them, I'm all for trying something different. I just think it will be hard getting other members to commit to bringing their cars if they could end up with a door ding or bumper hole.
Sounds good to me C. If the food is good there, why not. Count me in.

C and Scott,

We have to get together in SF one day, I traveled to SF almost every month and love the food there.

Yes, I've eaten at Gary Danko twice and the portions were big for a super luxury restaurant.

I have not tried Aqua or Michael Mina.

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly when I will be returning to SF.

Slanted Door is great! However, it was better when it used to be in the Mission. It moved twice and is now in the Ferry Building. The only problem with the new location is that it's way, way too loud. The original location was the best of the 3 locations they were in. But yes, the food is outstanding.

Now I remember. I have been to the Slanted Door a couple of times about 2 years ago when it was already in the ferry building. I really liked it.

Small world. My law firm is based in San Francisco (in One Market). But I am not on the firm's Management Committee so I do not regularly travel there. Only every once in a while.

+1. Let me know when you all plan on being in SF. I'll fly up for the day to enjoy a fine meal with you all - maybe with a few bottles of wine as well.
