My Ride: 535d Sport in Carbon Black / high gloss shadow line and beige leather / dark poplar with professional nav, bluetooth phone prep, CD changer, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, servotronic steering, folding mirrors, heated comfort seats, TV, extended voice control and Logic 7 hifi.
Well, there aren' any! We had less than 2 hours and only 3 of us, so to get even just a few runs in all 3 of us were driving at the same time, so no more piccies I'm afraid - just wanted to prove we went!

My Ride: E60 530d Sport - Carbon Black, Black Dakota Leather, Media Pack (satnav, bluetooth, CD changer), heated font seats, through load
Was a fun morning yesterday. My second visit to Santa Pod, but my first to run down the 1/4 mile.
My first run was alongside Clive's 535d. A bad start meant the run was slow, 15.9s @ 95.9MPH. Second run was with a diesel Golf (chipped), this time a get away well and win. Time was 14.8s, but slightly slower @ 95.3MPH.
My third run was the best for the day. Up against a MK1 Golf GTI. Complete boy racer car, with roll cage etc, and I'm told 280 BHP. Didn't check, but I assume via addition of turbo. Lighter car, more power, I destined to lose. But, I get a good start, and run to the end in front (by 0.1s). Time was 14.268s @ 96.14MPH. The Golf did 14.5 @ 104MPH. Another 10' and he would have caught me.
I did another couple of runs, with a Supra and Some MG (didn't bother to notice further). Not great runs, both were 15.1. I turned traction control off, and got way too much wheelspin off the line. But one run got the top speed of 96.35MPH, so there's potential to do even better than 14.2s
Interestingly, even the cars doing 13s runs were slower to the 60' mark. My best was 2.1, and several people were surprised to be beaten off the line like that. But everyone was getting a lot of wheelspin. More so than usual apparently.
Clive did well. His best time was 13.8, and could be better without the traction issues. A pity no 545s turned up
Hopefully there will be a few photos available tomorrow on the official photographer's website. If there are, I'll post some links.
