So umm what were the 5 missing E60s doing?

 

Here's a collection of footage that I got. I didn't get the very first twisties, which were arguably the ones that made for the most exiting video possibilities (see Gregg's video, sans crotch shots). I didn't know we were gonna him the twisties then, so I didn't set up the camera and then I couldn't find that road again.

What a great day. For those that missed out, you haven't put your E60 to the test until you've come on one of these runs.

I'm now at 35,000 feet viewing these pix and truly hope everyone had a great day -- especially for those that experienced this for the first time.

We'll do another one in August. Hopefully, the flakers will show this time. And yes, I did make it to my own Meet.

PS - Almost slamming into the truck on one of the twisties was pretty scary. DSC OFF BIYAAAA!

 

Have a safe flight. I was the lead car on the section of the twisties where that huge truck was sitting stopped on what was basically a blind corner. I don't think I've ever stood on my brakes that hard. With no advance warning because there was no car in front of me, it was one hell of a shock. But the 550 and the Hankooks handled it like a champ.
