I am coordinating with M5board and 6speed for another Palomar Canyon Run. We will be meeting at North County Mall in Escondido, CA at the crack of dawn again at 6am. I'm pretty sure there will be a Wild and Mild group, so for those unsure whether they want to drive with the hardcore canyon carvers, they can go with the Mild group. I, myself, will probably be going with the Mild group. Anyone interested?
I know that there will always be someone asking why so early, it's because there won't be any traffic on the route at that time.
Date: Sat. October 4, 2008
Meet Time: 6am
Location: North County Mall in Escondido. "On the Border" restaurant, 298 East Via Rancho Parkway, Escondido, CA 92025
List from M5board
1. P97
2. Vegastrashed
3. Rayploy
4. Sandiego
5. Danny0h
6. Mandisa
7. Mpower82
8. Rab Dog
9. keang24

Some of the pics from very first one, http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/usa-west-...n-6-22-a-2.html

Car count from 6speedonline and m5board:
E60 M5 (x9)
E55 AMG
E63 AMG
911 Race
955 Ruf Cayenne Turbo
2006 300C SRT8
997 GT3 (x2)
E9x 335
Some guidelines:
- Keep a good distance back. Or else you'll get blasted with pebbles. I hear some of you are running track tires 8)
- Keep an eye on the car behind you. If he falls way back, slow down and try to keep him in your sight (in case of mechanical failure, etc). The car in front of you will do the same and eventually will produce a chain reaction up to the leader.
- If the car behind you is faster, signal him to pass at a safe section (i.e., stop sign, long straight)
- We'll wait for everyone to catch up at major intersections

Don't sweat it. I doubt there will be a lot of cars that can keep up with the Porsches.
