Fantastic but 12 noon is way too late. Most people have come and gone by then. How about 10AM? I'm all for this but I don't want it to consume the day. I'd like to go, meet all you guys, hang for a bit and then jet. Does this work for you?

 

I'm coming in from Philly Anybody have some good directions for me on how to get there ?

yup...the earlier the better...i now have to go to Dallas for biz on the 23rd , ....my flights around 3 so i can only meet early on for an hour or two.....

 

nice ride ahead of you...you want to eventually get to the Meadowbrook parkway and take it all the way to jones beach, you will see signs then for field 6...you can either go up the garden state pky thru outerbridge crossing to staten island then over verrazanno bridge on to Belt parkway east, to the Southern State pkwy, then to exit 22S, the Meadowbrook pkwy which leads to Jones Beach

or you can go up the NJ Tpke up to the George Washington bridge, across and on the Cross bronx expwy, over the Throgs Neck bridge, on to the Cross Island parkway South and take it to the end where you can merge on to the Southern State Pkwy and follow as above

i think i've made it in just under 2 hours from Philly under optimal conditons, but say 2-3 hours as its a Sunday AM and you just never know ...but if you are going early it should not be that bad...mike
