My Ride: BMW 545iA Black Sapphire
Model Year: 2005
Engine: 545i
Yep, a very nice meet ! Met a good deal of members, all very nice and excellent
characters. I am once again pleased to be a member of this forum and pleased to be in the company of some fine individuals.
Good job on Wilbert's ( garehaan ) organisation of the meet. Fine locations. Good food !! Thanks Wilbert !!!
After the meet some of us ended up at my place, where Hobi finished the placing of a M5 gear shift on Kigerka's SMG. Very nice work I might add. I can confirm Hobi's work and inginuity are exceptional !! Kigerka's car now is pretty unique.
I also drove Hobi's 545i with the installed M5 paddles. This is one cool feature...
We assesed that this would be possible on a E60 like mine ( with heated sports steering wheel ) - but would lose the heating fuction. A new steering wheel rim ( either SMG or M5 ) is all that is necessary since I have already the round airbag.
We''ll see. Nonetheless, a very cool feature to have on a steptronic.
Also Hobi's video/audio setup ( Clarion splitter, hard drive, ipod, multi video zones ) - just made me want to cry...just amazing.
Saw a couple of touring E61's as well from garehaan and mhoutman. Very nice!!
Arnolds1971's Eisenmann exhaust ( sports version ) was impressive. You could tell immediately when his car was in the viscinity. A firm but not intrusive sound. Very nice. I am more convinced now and might give it some more consideration for my car as well.
It was great to meet everyone, thanks !!!

My Ride: 2011 520dA coming up.
When I look into the pictures, hobi's trunk is open on every one of them
He's gotta be the trunk shop man
There's been a lot of discussion and speculation here on ice and video etc.
But when I saw hobi's car I just couldn't believe my eyes. AV switcher, 4 seperate zones, playstation 2, 80Gb 2,5" harddisk with video and mp3 decoder, video on the Idrive, rear screen....you name it and it was in there.
Still drooling over the possibilities he created. Definately some nice things to dream about and empty my bank account.
Just simply amazing. I'll stop now.....i'm drooling over my keyboard.
Congratulations Hobi and thanks a lot for showing us.
